We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Tunnel Wash Supervisor to lead daily operations within a professional vehicle cleaning and maintenance environment. In this hands-on role, you will coordinate the work of the tunnel wash team, ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, and maintain consistently high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service. You will work closely with colleagues across the operation to keep workflows running smoothly and minimise downtime.
Your responsibilities will include planning and allocating daily work, supervising team members, introducing new employees to routines and equipment, and monitoring performance. You will ensure that vehicles and facilities are cleaned according to established procedures and that machinery, tools, and cleaning products are used correctly. The role also involves carrying out regular safety checks, reporting faults, supporting basic troubleshooting, and escalating technical or operational issues when required. You will contribute to stock control, maintain accurate records, and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and service quality. As a visible leader on site, you will promote a positive working environment and ensure that all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements are followed.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a supervisory, team-leading, vehicle cleaning, industrial cleaning, transport, or facilities-related role. You should be organised, dependable, and confident making decisions in a fast-paced operational setting. Good communication skills and the ability to motivate and guide others are essential, as is a practical and solution-oriented approach. Experience with automated wash systems, mechanical equipment, chemicals, or maintenance routines is advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate. You must be comfortable working outdoors and in changing weather conditions, be physically capable of carrying out practical tasks, and be prepared to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays where necessary.
