We are a dynamic and fast-growing private equity fund with a strong track record in infrastructure and real estate investments across Europe. As part of our continued expansion into digital infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced Data Centre Developer/Advisor to lead and advise on the strategic development of data centre assets across Southern Europe.
Role Overview:As a Data Centre Developer/Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in the origination, development, and execution of data centre investment projects. You will work closely with internal investment teams, external partners, and technical consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:Lead site identification, acquisition, and due diligence processes for new data centre developments
Advise on technical design, construction planning, sustainability, and scalability of data centre assets
Evaluate project feasibility, risk, and profitability to inform investment decisions
Coordinate with local authorities, planning consultants, and service providers throughout the development lifecycle
Work cross-functionally with investment, legal, and finance teams to support deal execution
Stay abreast of market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory developments within the data centre sector
Represent the fund in strategic discussions with JV partners, developers, and institutional investors
Requirements:Proven track record in data centre development, ideally within an investment or advisory context
Strong understanding of the technical, operational, and commercial aspects of data centres
Experience working across Southern Europe markets, ideally including Spain, Portugal, or Italy
Fluent in English; Spanish is strongly preferred
Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to travel as required for site visits and stakeholder engagement
Background in engineering, real estate, or infrastructure finance is a plus

The Estimation Engineer will work with the Technical team and develop comprehensive, detailed, project capital cost estimates in support of renewable energy projects.
Estimations will be based upon latest available cost information and data from internal and external sources and will be presented in a suitable format for use by senior management.
Key Activities
Review and comprehend typical RFP related documents (i.e. geotechnical data, topographic surveys, engineering specifications, IA, PPA, single line drawings, PVsyst reports, etc.)Perform quantity take-offs for all components on a utility scale solar project.Effectively communicate with subcontractors, vendors, owners and other relevant parties to define project scope and identify potential issues.Interact with vendors and subcontractors, as well as solicit bids/quotes (as needed).Utilize historic project data (i.e. material/equipment costs, manpower, productivity, etc.) to provide indicative EPC estimates.Occasionally travel to project sites to conduct site visits, monitor construction, client/vendor meetings, etc.Assess risks associated with a specific solar project and ensure proposal complies with all known and/or foreseeable requirements. Most importantly, that the estimate is accurate.Work cross functionally with engineering, construction and procurement teams to ensure requirements for each solar project are accounted for when bidding.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or other relevant field of study is preferable, but not required.Experience in estimating and/or designing utility scale solar projects is preferable.1 - 3 years of experience in the energy business in an analytical, estimation, budgetingStrong knowledge of currently available estimating software and tools, Microsoft Office and Project software, Excel modelling techniquesKeen on analytic, organizational and problem-solving skills.Estimation and budgeting experience on large capital projectsAbility to prepare estimates and budgets with a high degree of accuracyAbility to quickly learn the company's existing estimating/budgeting and scheduling systems, and to provide recommendations to enhance the current processUnderstanding of basic financial principles (IRR, NPV, Depreciation, etc.)Ability to travel domestically and internationally with short noticeGood Level of Englishewi is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer. ewi is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
