We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the planning, design, delivery and successful completion of engineering projects. This role will suit a technically minded professional who can coordinate multiple workstreams, solve problems effectively and maintain high standards of quality, safety and performance. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with agreed specifications.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates; coordinating design and engineering activities; monitoring project progress; and identifying and resolving technical, operational or commercial issues. You will assist with procurement, contractor management, site inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities, while ensuring that all work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards and project requirements. You will also contribute to risk assessments, method statements, progress reports, change control and continuous improvement initiatives. Clear communication and accurate record keeping will be essential, as will the ability to build effective working relationships across project teams.

Applicants should have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, together with practical experience in a project engineering or similar role. Experience in a technical, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure or industrial environment would be advantageous. You should be confident interpreting engineering drawings and technical information, using project management or design software, and analysing data to support sound decisions. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a changing environment. A proactive approach, attention to detail and commitment to health, safety, quality and professional standards are essential.
