We are seeking an experienced Water & Wastewater Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover. You will manage construction activities across water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, pipelines, reservoirs and associated utilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project programmes, budgets, procurement plans, risk registers and delivery strategies. You will coordinate design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and client representatives, while monitoring progress and resolving technical, commercial and construction issues. The role will involve reviewing drawings and specifications, managing change control, preparing progress reports, supporting applications for payment, and ensuring accurate project records are maintained. You will also lead progress meetings, oversee commissioning and testing activities, and support successful project close-out and handover.

Applicants should have proven experience managing construction projects within the water or wastewater sector, with a strong understanding of civil engineering, mechanical and electrical interfaces, health and safety, environmental compliance and quality assurance. A relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering or a related discipline is desirable, together with experience managing budgets, programmes and multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication, negotiation, organisation and problem-solving skills are essential. You should be confident working with clients and stakeholders at all levels, able to make sound decisions under pressure, and committed to achieving high standards of safety, workmanship and project performance. A recognised project management or construction qualification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, APM or equivalent, would be advantageous.
