We are seeking a Cultural Resources Discipline Lead to provide technical leadership and strategic direction across cultural heritage and archaeological projects. This role will oversee the delivery of high-quality cultural resources assessments, surveys, evaluations, and permitting support for projects subject to environmental, planning, and heritage legislation. The successful candidate will help shape project approaches, manage technical quality, and ensure that cultural resources considerations are integrated effectively into project design and decision-making.

Key responsibilities include leading and reviewing archaeological and cultural heritage studies; developing scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and work plans; coordinating field investigations, archival research, and consultations; and preparing or overseeing technical reports, impact assessments, management plans, and regulatory submissions. You will provide expert advice to project managers, clients, regulators, Indigenous or local communities, and multidisciplinary teams. The role will also involve mentoring staff, supporting recruitment and professional development, maintaining strong quality assurance standards, and contributing to business development through proposal preparation, client engagement, and identification of new opportunities.

Candidates should hold a degree in archaeology, anthropology, heritage management, or a related discipline, with substantial professional experience in cultural resources management and demonstrated experience leading complex projects. Strong knowledge of applicable heritage legislation, permitting processes, archaeological methods, and professional standards is required. Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams will be highly valued. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and relationship builder, capable of presenting technical information clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Professional accreditation or eligibility for accreditation, relevant field qualifications, and the ability to travel to project sites are desirable.
