We are seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex residential and mixed-use development projects from early feasibility through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with effective stakeholder management and the ability to drive projects forward.
You will take responsibility for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project programmes and budgets, and ensuring that developments progress efficiently through planning, design, construction and handover. The role will involve working closely with landowners, consultants, contractors, local authorities and internal stakeholders to achieve high-quality, commercially viable outcomes.
Key responsibilities Manage land development projects from acquisition and feasibility through to delivery and completion. Prepare and monitor project programmes, budgets, risk registers and delivery strategies. Coordinate planning, engineering, architectural, environmental and technical consultants. Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications, technical information and development reports. Oversee infrastructure, remediation, utilities, highways and other enabling works. Monitor design development, procurement, construction progress, quality and compliance. Identify and resolve risks, constraints, delays and commercial issues in a timely manner. Provide clear updates, recommendations and performance reports to senior stakeholders. Build and maintain effective relationships with external partners, authorities and project teams. About youYou will have proven experience managing land, property or development projects, ideally within residential, regeneration or mixed-use environments. A relevant qualification in project management, surveying, construction, engineering, planning or a related discipline is desirable, together with a strong understanding of the UK development process.
You should be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing competing priorities. Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while providing leadership across multidisciplinary teams. Candidates operating at Senior Project Manager level should also demonstrate experience mentoring colleagues and shaping project delivery strategies.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations may be required.
