We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Foreman to supervise and coordinate piping installation activities across industrial, commercial, or process-based projects. The successful candidate will lead a site team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, practical leadership, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project management, engineering, subcontractors, and other site disciplines.

Key responsibilities include planning daily activities, allocating labour and equipment, and monitoring progress against project programmes. You will interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and technical documentation; oversee pipework fabrication, fit-up, welding, installation, testing, and commissioning; and ensure materials are correctly identified, handled, and installed. You will conduct regular site inspections, verify dimensions and alignment, identify potential issues, and support the resolution of technical or construction-related problems. Maintaining accurate records, reporting progress, and coordinating inspections with quality and engineering teams will also be essential.

You will promote a strong safety culture by leading toolbox talks, enforcing safe systems of work, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, permits, risk assessments, and site procedures. Applicants should have substantial experience supervising mechanical piping or pipefitting crews, with a sound understanding of industrial construction methods, welding processes, pressure testing, and quality control requirements. The ability to read technical drawings, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly with a diverse workforce is essential. A recognised mechanical or pipefitting qualification, relevant trade certification, and experience working on major construction or maintenance projects would be advantageous. The role may require flexibility to work extended hours, shifts, or away from home depending on project requirements.
