We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Investigator to lead our Downstream Process Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing innovative processes for the purification and characterization of biopharmaceutical products. You will oversee the development and optimization of downstream processes, ensuring high yield and quality while adhering to regulatory guidelines. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including upstream process development, analytical chemistry, and quality assurance, to advance projects from concept through to clinical trial phases.
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in biochemical engineering, biochemistry, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in downstream processing within the biopharmaceutical industry. You should demonstrate extensive knowledge in chromatography, filtration, and other separation techniques, as well as a strong track record of leading successful projects. Excellent problem-solving skills, along with the ability to mentor and guide junior scientists, are essential. You will also be expected to publish research findings and represent the organization at industry conferences.
