We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the delivery of heavy civil construction projects across wastewater and water infrastructure. This role will be responsible for overseeing field operations from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and in accordance with approved plans, specifications and quality standards. Projects may include treatment facilities, pump stations, reservoirs, pipelines, underground utilities, earthworks, concrete structures and associated civil infrastructure.

The successful candidate will provide strong day-to-day leadership to site teams, subcontractors and suppliers, coordinating labour, plant, materials and logistics to maintain productivity and programme performance. Key responsibilities include interpreting drawings and specifications, planning work activities, monitoring progress, coordinating inspections and testing, managing site documentation, and identifying and resolving construction issues before they affect delivery. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants and client representatives, contributing to progress meetings, short- and long-term planning, cost control and change management. Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and workmanship will be central to the role.

Applicants should have substantial supervisory experience in heavy civil construction, preferably within water, wastewater or related utilities infrastructure. A strong understanding of construction methodologies, civil works, concrete, piping, excavation, temporary works and site services is required, along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation. You will be an effective communicator with proven experience leading diverse teams and coordinating multiple work fronts in a demanding site environment. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, sound commercial awareness and a commitment to safety are essential. Relevant trade, technical or construction management qualifications, together with appropriate site safety credentials, will be highly regarded.
