EWI is supporting a leading renewable energy developer in the search for an experienced Wind Turbine O&M Manager to play a pivotal role in the operation, maintenance, and long-term performance of a growing wind energy portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on wind turbine specialist to take ownership of both day-to-day O&M activities and the development of a complete wind turbine maintenance function. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building operational processes, maintenance strategies, and technical teams from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operation and maintenance of wind turbines.Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Conduct regular inspections and technical assessments of wind turbines.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults.Monitor turbine performance, availability, and reliability.Develop and implement maintenance procedures, workflows, and inspection programmes.Coordinate service activities with OEMs, contractors, and technical suppliers.Manage spare parts inventory, forecasting, and procurement requirements.Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and service reports.Develop and enforce health, safety, and operational standards.Build and establish the wind turbine O&M function, systems, and processes.Recruit, train, and develop future maintenance and service personnel.Create internal technical standards and best-practice maintenance frameworks.

Candidate Requirements

Proven hands-on experience working directly with wind turbines in an operations and maintenance environment.Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and turbine inspections.Experience coordinating maintenance activities and technical service teams.Understanding of wind turbine performance monitoring and asset reliability management.Previous experience working with turbine manufacturers and third-party service providers.Ability to establish and improve maintenance systems and operational procedures.Russian language skills are essential.Willingness to be based in or relocate to Moldova.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed their careers through practical wind turbine maintenance and field operations rather than purely administrative or office-based management positions.

Candidates with previous experience in Eastern European wind projects or those currently based in Ukraine, Romania, Poland, or neighbouring markets are highly encouraged to apply.
