We are seeking an experienced Wind Site Manager to lead the safe, efficient and successful delivery of wind farm construction and site operations. This role will be responsible for coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed in accordance with approved designs, project schedules, quality standards, environmental requirements and applicable legislation. You will provide visible leadership across the site, promote a strong safety culture and maintain effective communication with contractors, suppliers, technical teams and other project stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include planning and coordinating daily construction activities; supervising contractors and subcontractors; monitoring progress, productivity, costs and resource requirements; and ensuring that works are delivered to the required quality and programme. You will review method statements, risk assessments and permits, support site inspections and audits, and ensure that health, safety and environmental controls are consistently applied. The role will also involve managing site meetings, maintaining accurate records, reporting progress and issues to project leadership, coordinating interfaces between civil, electrical and turbine work packages, and supporting commissioning, testing and handover activities. You will identify risks and delays, implement corrective actions and help resolve technical or operational challenges promptly.
Applicants should have significant experience managing major construction or renewable energy projects, ideally within the wind, power generation, utilities or infrastructure sectors. A strong understanding of civil and electrical works, turbine installation, commissioning processes, contractor management and construction health and safety is essential. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings and project documentation, managing competing priorities and making sound decisions in a changing site environment. Excellent leadership, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills are required, together with the ability to build positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams. Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline are desirable, as are recognised health and safety credentials. The position may require travel, extended site presence and flexibility to work in remote locations and varying weather conditions.
