We are seeking an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of projects involving stormwater management, drainage, flood risk, water quality, and related civil infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to develop technical expertise while working alongside experienced engineers, scientists, planners, and project managers.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses; preparing drainage, stormwater, and water resources calculations; developing technical reports, drawings, specifications, and design documentation; and supporting the assessment of flood risks and water management solutions. You may also contribute to field investigations, site inspections, data collection, permit applications, and construction support activities. The role will involve using engineering software and spreadsheets to model systems, interpret data, evaluate alternatives, and help deliver practical, sustainable solutions that meet applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a related discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound analytical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential. Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater design, GIS, CAD, or modelling tools is desirable, along with an understanding of relevant engineering principles, environmental regulations, and health and safety practices. Previous internship, placement, academic project, or field experience is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be organised, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple tasks while working to agreed deadlines. A commitment to professional development and, where applicable, progress toward professional engineering registration is encouraged. Occasional travel to project sites may be required, and a valid driving licence may be beneficial.
