We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of major construction projects from initial planning through to completion. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness, technical understanding and the ability to manage complex programmes in a safe, efficient and collaborative manner. You will take overall responsibility for project performance, ensuring that work is delivered to agreed scope, budget, programme and quality standards.

You will lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate consultants, contractors and supply chain partners, and establish clear governance, reporting and communication processes. Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project execution plans, managing risk and change, monitoring progress, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, contractual obligations and health and safety requirements. You will chair project meetings, provide accurate progress updates to senior stakeholders, resolve issues promptly and drive effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. A strong focus on buildability, sustainability, quality assurance and continuous improvement will be essential.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing complex construction projects, ideally within a main contracting, consultancy, developer or client-side environment. A proven track record of leading projects from inception to handover, together with experience managing budgets, contracts, programmes and stakeholder relationships, is essential. You will be an accomplished communicator and negotiator, capable of influencing at all levels and maintaining positive working relationships in demanding circumstances. A relevant degree or professional qualification in construction, engineering, project management or a related discipline is desirable, as is membership of a recognised professional body. Excellent organisational skills, commercial judgement, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are required. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, resilience and the ability to motivate teams while delivering consistently high standards.
