An international renewable energy developer is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of hybrid energy infrastructure projects within the mining sector.
This role involves leading complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects across solar, thermal, and storage solutions. The successful candidate will coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that all phases are delivered on time, on budget, and to technical standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead project execution from early-stage design through to commissioning (COD)
Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and technical partners
Manage project controls: timeline, budget, risks, reporting, and documentation
Oversee system integration of EMS, SCADA, PMS and related interfaces
Ensure technical compliance, permit acquisition, and stakeholder engagement
Track KPIs and performance metrics; propose corrective measures where needed
Contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methods
Candidate ProfileEducation
Degree in Industrial Electricity, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Maintenance
Experience
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the energy sector (EPC or IPP)
Direct experience managing hybrid energy projects for mining clients is essential
Strong understanding of mining-specific energy constraints and operations
Technical Skills
Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Excel)
High-level knowledge of hybrid power solutions and medium voltage systems

Role OverviewAs the Technical Project Manager, you will be accountable for the technical execution and delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS EPC projects. Oversee contractor performance during procurement, civil works, mechanical and electrical installation, and commissioning.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering consultants, OEMs, suppliers, lenders' engineers, and government entities.
Monitor technical compliance with grid codes, HSE standards, and environmental regulations.
Lead technical risk assessments and proactively implement corrective actions.
Report on technical progress, quality assurance, and cost control to senior stakeholders.
Requirements5+ years of EPC or IPP experience in solar PV and battery energy storage systems (utility-scale preferred).
Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Strong understanding of hybrid systems, SCADA architecture, EMS/PMS integration, and MV distribution networks.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical workstreams across geographically dispersed teams.
