We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Water/Wastewater) to lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the water and wastewater sector. This senior site-based role will oversee construction activities from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and in accordance with approved designs, specifications and contractual requirements. You will provide visible leadership across site operations, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing construction methodologies, site logistics plans, work programmes and resource schedules; supervising civil, mechanical, electrical and process installation activities; monitoring progress, productivity, quality and costs; and identifying and resolving technical, commercial and operational issues. You will lead daily briefings, coordinate subcontractor performance, review construction documentation and ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, environmental controls and project quality plans. The role will also involve supporting procurement, commissioning, testing and handover activities, maintaining accurate records, contributing to progress reporting and assisting with variations, claims and risk management.

Applicants should have substantial experience delivering major water or wastewater infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines, utilities or associated civil and process works. A relevant trade, technical or engineering qualification is desirable, together with demonstrated experience in a senior supervisory or construction management position. You will need proven ability to interpret drawings and specifications, manage complex site interfaces and lead teams in a high-pressure environment. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent (Water/Wastewater) to support the effective operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems and associated infrastructure. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will help coordinate daily activities, ensure reliable service delivery and maintain compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety, regulatory and operational standards.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with the supervision, scheduling and direction of operations and maintenance personnel; monitoring treatment processes, equipment performance, chemical usage and system conditions; reviewing operational data, sampling results, logs and reports; and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and quality. You will support the investigation and resolution of operational issues, alarms, spills, equipment failures and customer or service concerns. The role will also contribute to preventative maintenance planning, capital improvement projects, emergency response activities, procurement and contractor coordination. You will help ensure procedures are followed, records are accurate and required reports, permits and compliance documentation are completed on time.

The successful candidate will have progressive experience in water and/or wastewater treatment operations, preferably in a supervisory, lead or senior technical capacity. A relevant qualification in water or wastewater treatment, environmental technology, engineering, utilities management or a related discipline is preferred, along with any licences or certifications required by the applicable jurisdiction. Strong knowledge of treatment processes, collection and distribution systems, maintenance practices, regulatory requirements and workplace safety is essential. You should be capable of reading technical documentation, analysing operational information, using computerised maintenance or monitoring systems and making sound decisions in time-sensitive situations. Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills are required, together with the ability to work collaboratively, coach staff and participate in an on-call, shift or emergency response roster as needed. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to work outdoors and in challenging site conditions may also be required.
