We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Land Development to support the successful delivery of residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects from initial feasibility through to construction and completion. Working alongside experienced project managers, consultants, contractors and stakeholders, you will help coordinate project activities, maintain programme and cost controls, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant planning, engineering and statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities will include assisting with project feasibility assessments, due diligence and development applications; coordinating external consultants across civil, structural, environmental, surveying and planning disciplines; preparing project schedules, budgets, reports and meeting documentation; and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will help manage contracts, procurement activities, approvals, design reviews, variations, risks and project correspondence. The role will also involve attending site meetings, tracking construction progress, supporting issue resolution and maintaining accurate project records throughout the development lifecycle.
To succeed in this position, you will have experience in project coordination, development, construction, engineering, planning or a related field, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience. A sound understanding of land development processes, planning approvals, civil infrastructure and construction documentation will be highly regarded. You will be organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Proficiency in project management and document-control systems, scheduling tools and Microsoft Office applications will be advantageous. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Land Development to lead the planning, design and delivery of residential, commercial or mixed-use land development projects. This role will suit a proactive professional who can manage projects from initial feasibility and approvals through to construction completion, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include preparing and managing project programmes, budgets, procurement strategies, risk registers and reporting requirements. You will coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, oversee design development, obtain and manage planning and development approvals, and monitor civil infrastructure, utilities, roads, drainage and public realm works. The role will also involve reviewing technical documentation, identifying project risks, resolving issues, managing variations and ensuring that quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. You will provide clear updates to stakeholders and support informed decision-making at every stage.
Applicants should have relevant qualifications in project management, property, engineering, construction, urban development or a related discipline, together with demonstrated experience delivering land development projects.
