We are seeking an experienced Foreman - Piping to supervise piping installation, maintenance, and construction activities on an industrial or process plant project. The successful candidate will coordinate daily field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards. You will lead piping crews and subcontractors, allocate manpower and equipment, and provide clear direction to ensure productivity targets are achieved.
Key responsibilities include reviewing isometric drawings, piping layouts, material requirements, and work packs before activities begin. You will oversee pipe fabrication, fit-up, alignment, welding preparation, installation, supports, valves, flanges, testing, and reinstatement work. The role involves monitoring progress, identifying potential delays, resolving site issues, and coordinating with engineering, quality control, construction management, and other disciplines to maintain smooth workflow. You will also verify that materials are available and correctly identified, inspect completed work, support testing and commissioning activities, and ensure accurate reporting of daily progress, labour, equipment, and site conditions.
Applicants should have substantial experience supervising piping work within industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, power, or similar environments. A sound understanding of piping construction methods, fabrication and installation practices, technical drawings, permits, inspections, and health and safety requirements is essential. The ability to interpret project documentation, organise competing priorities, and lead a diverse workforce is required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are important, together with a practical approach to maintaining quality and schedule performance. Relevant trade qualifications or technical training are preferred, as is experience working to recognised industry standards. A commitment to safe working practices, environmental compliance, housekeeping, and continuous improvement is essential.
