We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager for overhead contact line systems to lead and coordinate installation, upgrade, and maintenance projects within railway infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, site teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery from planning through commissioning.

Your responsibilities will include planning daily and weekly site activities, coordinating subcontractors and work crews, monitoring progress, and resolving technical or operational issues as they arise. You will follow up on materials, resources, documentation, inspections, testing, and deviations, while ensuring that all work complies with applicable railway regulations and safety requirements. You will also contribute to risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, progress meetings, and reporting. A key part of the position is maintaining clear communication between the construction site and project management, as well as supporting a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

To succeed in this position, you have several years of experience in railway construction, electrical infrastructure, overhead contact line systems, or a closely related field. Experience in a supervisory, site management, or construction coordination role is essential, along with a practical understanding of installation methods, technical drawings, inspection procedures, and project documentation. You are organised, decisive, and comfortable managing multiple activities in a changing environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, as is the ability to take initiative and make sound decisions on site. Relevant technical education, safety training, and experience working under railway possession or access arrangements are advantageous. A valid driving licence and proficiency in English are required; knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic language is considered beneficial.
