Deputy Project Manager - Light Rail Transit (LRT) - Israel
The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is supporting a leading engineering firm who are acting as the PMC for a Light Rail Project in Israel and needing a Deputy Project Manager.
Opportunity
My client is a leading European Consultancy who are working on behalf of the end client and have been carrying out the Design Reviews and supervising the construction of a major LRT connection project.
The successful individual shall be joining an international team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this project, supported by a strong team of engineers across all disciplines.
Job Role / Responsibilities:
Working as part of an International Team on behalf of the end client, the Deputy Project Manager shall play a key role in the Supervision of the construction for the next 4 years, supported by technical specialists across various systems.Key responsibilities shall include:Reviewing Designs to ensure standards and requirements are metMaking recommendationsSupervising the ConstructionResolving Technical issuesWorking & liaising with the design teamThe successful individual shall have to liaise with various disciplines, including other Civil and Systems components, to ensure a successful outcome.Key Requirements for the Role:
At least one project in the field of light trains in the Design stage during at least two (2) years, with a length of rails of at least nine (9) km, and the planning stage has already been completed.Managed at least one project in the field of light trains in the Execution stage during at least two (2) years, with a length of rails of at least nine (9) km, which execution was completed, and that has been operating continuously for twelve (12) months minimum.Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related subject)10-15+ years of Rail project experienceExperience of Similar scale projects during the construction phaseRegional Experience would be beneficialLanguage: EnglishSalary Package

Supervise daily track installation and construction activities on-site.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of track works.Monitor progress against schedule and report on milestones, delays, and risks.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.Participate in technical meetings, review design drawings, and ensure works are carried out according to approved plans.Coordinate logistics for material deliveries, storage, and installation sequencing.Liaise with engineering, signalling, and civil teams to avoid conflicts and ensure integration.Provide leadership to the site crew, managing performance, training needs, and site discipline.Maintain detailed site records including daily reports, inspections, and as-built documentation.Support testing, commissioning, and handover of the track infrastructure.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related field.Minimum 5-8 years of experience in railway or LRT track construction, preferably in an international setting.Proven experience managing track installation works.Solid understanding of construction management principles, project planning, and health & safety regulations.Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.Must be eligible to work in Israel.Regional Experience would be beneficialLanguage: English
