We are seeking an experienced Solar O&M Site Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient and reliable operation of a utility-scale solar photovoltaic facility. The successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day site activities, supervise technicians and contractors, and ensure that all operations and maintenance work is completed to a high standard and in line with agreed performance, safety and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities will include planning and allocating preventative and corrective maintenance activities; monitoring plant performance, alarms and operating data; coordinating fault diagnosis and repairs; and supporting the resolution of issues affecting generation, inverters, trackers, substations and associated electrical systems. You will maintain accurate records of inspections, work orders, incidents, spare parts and site activities, while contributing to performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will also involve managing contractor access and work quality, preparing permits and risk assessments, leading toolbox talks, and ensuring compliance with applicable electrical, working-at-height, isolation and emergency procedures. You may be required to participate in an on-call or out-of-hours support rota.

Applicants should have experience supervising operations and maintenance activities within a solar PV, renewable energy, industrial or electrical environment. A strong understanding of photovoltaic systems, high- and low-voltage electrical equipment, mechanical systems and health and safety legislation is required. An electrical or engineering qualification, relevant trade certification or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous. You should be confident using maintenance management systems and performance-monitoring software, with the ability to interpret technical information and make sound decisions under pressure. Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills are essential, together with a proactive approach, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, contractors and site stakeholders. A full driving licence and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions are also required.
