We are seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the design, assessment and delivery of complex bridge and civil structures projects. This is an opportunity to contribute to a varied portfolio spanning new-build bridges, strengthening and refurbishment schemes, highway structures, rail interfaces and transport infrastructure. You will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept development through detailed design, construction support and handover.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and checking structural calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports; developing practical, safe and cost-effective engineering solutions; and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, contractors, clients and other stakeholders. You will undertake inspections, assessments and options appraisals, identify risks and constraints, and ensure designs comply with relevant standards, legislation and quality procedures. The role will also involve mentoring less experienced engineers, reviewing technical work, contributing to fee proposals and programmes, and supporting the successful management of budgets, resources and delivery milestones.

You should hold a degree in civil or structural engineering and have substantial experience in bridge engineering, ideally with professional registration or a clear route towards chartership. Strong knowledge of bridge design principles, structural analysis, assessment methods and applicable design standards is essential, together with experience of working across different project stages. Familiarity with design software such as finite element, structural analysis and computer-aided design packages would be advantageous. We are looking for a confident communicator who can build effective working relationships, explain technical matters clearly and make sound engineering judgements. You will need to demonstrate a proactive approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and sustainability.

We are seeking a Project Engineer | Construction Coordinator (m|f|d) to support the successful planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects. In this role, you will act as a key link between project management, site teams, contractors, consultants and clients, ensuring that technical, commercial and scheduling requirements are clearly communicated and effectively managed. You will contribute to projects from design development and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation; coordinating design interfaces and resolving technical queries; preparing and maintaining project schedules, progress reports and construction documentation; and monitoring work on site to ensure compliance with approved plans, quality standards, safety requirements and relevant regulations. You will support tendering and procurement activities, assist with the evaluation and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers, and track materials, costs, variations and deadlines. Regular site visits, construction meetings and follow-up of outstanding actions will form an important part of the position. You will also help identify risks at an early stage and work with the project team to develop practical solutions.

You have a degree or comparable qualification in civil engineering, construction engineering, building services or a related discipline, together with relevant professional experience in project engineering, construction coordination or site management. Experience with construction processes, technical documentation, scheduling tools and common project management software is desirable. You work in a structured, reliable and solution-oriented manner, demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, and are confident coordinating several stakeholders and priorities at once. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality and safety are essential. Professional proficiency in English is required; additional language skills may be advantageous.
