We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of highway and bridge infrastructure projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover. This is a senior role requiring strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across complex civil engineering environments.

Key responsibilities will include managing programme, budget, resources, quality and health and safety requirements; developing and maintaining detailed project plans, risk registers and reporting processes; and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications, permits and applicable standards. You will coordinate designers, subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and other stakeholders, while monitoring progress and taking timely corrective action where required. The role will also involve reviewing construction methodologies, managing change control, supporting procurement and contract administration, and maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing major highways, bridges or comparable civil engineering projects, ideally from pre-construction through to final account and handover. A relevant degree or professional qualification in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline is desirable, together with a recognised project management or site management qualification. You will need strong knowledge of construction processes, temporary works, structures, traffic management, environmental controls and health and safety legislation. Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential, as is the confidence to make informed decisions in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will be organised, commercially astute and committed to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
