We are seeking an experienced Water Project Engineer to support the planning, design, delivery and improvement of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will contribute to projects across the full lifecycle, from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, regulators and operational stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, sustainably and in line with applicable standards.

Key responsibilities will include preparing technical specifications, scopes of work, cost estimates, programmes, reports and design documentation; reviewing engineering drawings, calculations and technical submissions; coordinating site investigations, surveys and construction activities; monitoring progress, quality, costs, risks and compliance; and supporting the resolution of technical issues during project delivery. You will also assist with procurement, tender evaluations, contract administration, change control and stakeholder engagement. The role may involve site visits, inspections and occasional travel to project locations, with a strong focus on health, safety, environmental protection and asset reliability.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in civil, environmental, water or a related engineering discipline, together with relevant experience delivering water, wastewater, treatment, pipeline, pumping station, drainage or associated infrastructure projects. A professional engineering registration or progress towards professional accreditation is desirable. You will need strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management processes, construction practices, risk management and relevant legislation, standards and regulatory requirements. Experience using design, modelling, project management or document control software will be advantageous.
