We are seeking a dedicated Cultural Resources Specialist to join our team, responsible for the identification, evaluation, and management of cultural resources in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will conduct comprehensive research and field surveys to assess archaeological sites, historical structures, and cultural landscapes. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and other organizations, to ensure that cultural heritage is preserved and respected during project planning and development. Strong communication skills are essential for preparing reports, presenting findings, and providing expert guidance on cultural resource management practices.

In addition to fieldwork, the Cultural Resources Specialist will develop and implement cultural resource management plans, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The successful applicant will possess a thorough understanding of cultural resource laws, including the National Historic Preservation Act and the National Environmental Policy Act. Proficiency in GIS mapping and analysis, as well as experience with archaeological excavation techniques, is highly desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. A graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology, history, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience in cultural resource management.
