We are seeking an experienced Manager, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) to lead operational and maintenance (O&M) compliance across a complex, safety-critical environment. This role will develop and implement consistent HSEQ strategies, systems and standards that support regulatory compliance, operational reliability and continuous improvement. The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with location options in Andover, Massachusetts, or Oklahoma City or Dallas, Texas.
Key responsibilities include managing HSEQ programmes, policies and procedures; maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations; and ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal requirements. You will provide expert guidance to operational and maintenance teams, conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations, and oversee corrective and preventive actions through to completion. The role will also monitor performance metrics, prepare management reports, identify trends and lead initiatives that strengthen safety culture, environmental stewardship and quality performance. You will partner with leaders, contractors and site personnel to promote accountability, improve processes and ensure consistent application of HSEQ expectations across all activities.
The successful candidate will bring a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, quality management or a related discipline, together with significant HSEQ experience in operations, maintenance, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure or a similarly regulated setting. Experience leading programmes across multiple sites, managing audits and investigations, and interpreting regulatory requirements is highly desirable. Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, ISO lead auditor or equivalent is an advantage. Strong communication, influencing, organisational and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, engage stakeholders at all levels and occasionally travel to operational locations. Candidates must be comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on support in the field.
