We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will oversee projects from initial planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, and provide clear direction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project execution plans, programmes, budgets, risk registers, and reporting frameworks; monitoring progress and performance; managing change, commercial matters, and contractual obligations; and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards, environmental requirements, and health and safety procedures. You will lead project meetings, resolve issues, oversee design and construction interfaces, and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, delivery partners, and local communities. The role will also involve mentoring project staff and contributing to continuous improvement, business planning, and the development of best-practice project delivery processes.

Applicants should have significant experience managing major water, wastewater, utilities, civil engineering, or other complex infrastructure projects, ideally within a regulated environment. A relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, construction, project management, or a related discipline is required, together with a strong understanding of project controls, risk management, procurement, contract administration, and health and safety. Experience with common forms of construction contract and the ability to interpret technical and commercial information will be highly valued. You will be a confident communicator and practical problem solver, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and leading teams through challenging delivery environments. A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach is essential.
