We are seeking an experienced Land Project Manager to lead the planning, acquisition, development and delivery of land projects from initial feasibility through to completion. This role will suit a commercially minded property professional with strong knowledge of land and development processes, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams within challenging timescales.
Responsibilities will include identifying and assessing land opportunities; preparing feasibility studies, appraisals and investment recommendations; managing due diligence, planning, legal, technical and environmental investigations; and supporting negotiations with landowners, agents, consultants and other external parties. You will oversee the progression of projects through acquisition, planning and development stages, ensuring that key milestones, budgets, risks and reporting requirements are effectively managed. The role will also involve coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, commissioning and reviewing professional advice, maintaining accurate project documentation and providing clear updates to senior stakeholders. You will be expected to identify potential issues early, develop practical solutions and ensure that projects remain aligned with agreed commercial, quality and delivery objectives.
Applicants should have significant experience in land, property development, regeneration or a closely related field, together with a strong understanding of the planning system, development appraisals, acquisition processes and project governance. A relevant professional qualification or equivalent practical experience is desirable. You will need excellent negotiation, financial analysis, communication and organisational skills, as well as the confidence to work independently and collaboratively across internal and external teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing risk, resolving complex issues and delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
