Job Role / Responsibilities

Multidisciplinary overview on upcoming challengesCoordinate and supervise the installation of telecommunication networks, control systems, and monitoring equipment.Provide regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders.Ensure integration of communication systems with electrical and mechanical installations.Review and approve system designs, technical drawings, and specifications. Monitor the progress and quality of telecommunication installations, addressing technical challenges.Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless connectivity and integration across systems.Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Provide technical support during commissioning and testing phases.DABS meetingsAddress technical challenges and implement solutions to meet project milestones.

The infrastructure project is based on the West Coast of Norway and consist of the construction of several tunnels, bridges and highways, the construction has already started and is estimated to last for at least 3 more years.

Requirements

At least 5 years' experience with the same role in Construction Proven experience in managing telecommunication systems for large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of fiber optics, wireless networks, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret system designs and technical specifications. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Completion of telecommunication milestones within timeline and budget. Integration and functionality of systems as per project requirements. Compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards Technical education related Scandinavia experience

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international infrastructure company, for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their headquarters in Geneva and work on different building and civil engineering projects.

About the Role

The Health & Safety Manager will oversee all H&S activities on a major building and civil works project in Geneva. This role ensures full compliance with international standards through risk management, site inspections, training, and coordination with all stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and keep the Health and Safety Plan (PSS) up to date.Work with the technical team to weave safety seamlessly into operational planning.Draft and manage risk assessment tools.Check that all subcontractors' HS documentation is compliant.Coordinate with the site admin to handle and control all necessary permits.Handle communications and notifications to external authorities, when required.Carry out mandatory safety inductions with the HS Supervisor and maintain the signature log.Organize and lead weekly toolbox meetings (or as scheduled).Promote a safety culture among workers, even those who speak multiple languages.Perform site inspections to ensure safety measures are followed.Report non-compliance issues and propose instant fixes.Make sure PPE and collective protection measures are used properly.Monitor safety during critical site phases.Maintain and update the site's Emergency Plan.Coordinate emergency drills and check fire prevention equipment.Manage any accidents or near misses, including analysis and corrective actions.Write periodic HS reports (daily, weekly, monthly).Attend HS meetings with the client and provide support during external audits.Ensure that the general contractor's practices align with international client standards (e.g., ISO, HS KPIs).

Candidate Profile

Solid experience in the construction sector.Proven leadership skills.Fluent in English and French.Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.Outstanding presentation skills to design and deliver training that boosts knowledge, competence, and behavior across all levels.Prior experience in safety across various areas: safety program development, fire prevention, hazardous materials, risk analysis (both qualitative & quantitative), process safety management, incident investigation, safe operational procedures.Able to meet deadlines and deliver HS responsibilities promptly and professionally.
