We are seeking an experienced and motivated Healthcare Superintendent Level 2 to provide effective leadership across healthcare operations and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred services. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day coordination of clinical and support functions, promote professional standards, and contribute to an efficient, responsive healthcare environment. This role requires sound judgement, strong organisational skills, and the ability to lead teams in a complex and demanding setting.

Key responsibilities will include supervising multidisciplinary staff, allocating resources, monitoring workloads, and ensuring services are delivered in line with relevant legislation, policies, clinical guidance, and professional requirements. You will support the development and implementation of operational plans, maintain accurate records, review performance information, and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. The role will also involve responding appropriately to incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, escalating risks where necessary, and supporting investigations and corrective actions. Building positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, external professionals, and partner agencies will be an essential part of the position.

Applicants should have substantial experience in healthcare management or clinical service supervision, together with a relevant professional qualification and current registration where applicable. You will need a strong understanding of governance, risk management, infection prevention, health and safety, confidentiality, and continuous improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to motivate staff, manage competing priorities, and make balanced decisions under pressure. Experience of workforce planning, audit, policy implementation, and managing change would be advantageous.
