Main tasks and responsibilities
 Support the safe execution of the project, in accordance with applicable:
 local HSE laws and regulations
 Internal processes
 Client / Project specific rules (incl. Project HSE plan, Employer's requirements, etc.)
 Initiate & support the HSE continuous improvement system on site
 Assist in the preparation, development and monitoring of the Project HSE plan, and of the related documentation (e.g. Permit to Work, risk assessment and method statements, emergency response plan, site induction)
 Review the documentation provided by Nordex teams and contractors (e.g. HSE plans, training certificates, equipment inspection certificates, etc.) and check compliance with the applicable requirements ("release to work" stage)
 Site induction:
 Prepare a welcome package and site inductions
 Hold site induction sessions
 Participate actively in the daily site organization:
 Support the Site Manager(s) for the daily morning briefing, give the daily toolbox talk
 Participate in the daily progress and coordination meetings:
 Highlight the HSE topics and deviations raised or observed during the working day, propose and discuss improvement actions
 Provide advice regarding the safe execution of the upcoming activities
 Support the implementation of the project specific Permit to Work system
 Emergency response: Ensure that the establishment and maintenance of close liaison with relevant emergency services/enforcement agencies, etc; takes place
 HSE awareness:
 Implement "Safety Critical Friend" concept in the project team
 Perform site visits (Safety Walks & Talks)
 Promote a proactive approach towards QHSE -EPR : empower, praise and request and engage free discussion about HSE with the on field teams
 Conduct or support site inspections / audits (e.g. joint visit with Project / Site management, joint visit with Client HSE representative)
 HSE incidents and observations:
 Ensure that HSE incidents are duly reported and continuously promote the reporting of HSE observations
 Collect HSE observations

 Support the Project Manager and the Site Manager for:
 the reporting and investigation of HSE events and observations
 the monitoring of the corrective and preventive actions
 Report on a weekly and / or monthly basis (depending on project specific requirements) HSE metrics, including:
 HSE events and observations (type, number, list, status)
 Hours worked on site

Requirements

 Medical fitness for works at height is required.

 Be aware that the manufacturers of PPE for fall protection define, in operating instructions, limits applicable to the PPE user.
Technical skills
 Country-specific HSE laws and regulations, including (non comprehensive list):
 Health and Safety at Work: site management and coordination, contractor management, works at height, lifting / rigging / handling, electrical hazards, mechanical hazards, Machinery Directive / Machinery compliance, etc.
 Environment: wind energy project specific requirements, works near utilities and networks (e.g. underground or overhead facilities), waste management
 ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001
 Methods: risk analysis / assessment, incident investigation
 Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Languages
 English: fluent
 The resources assigned to site may come from various countries. English is the common language on site.
 Most of the documentation or IT tools used on site will be available in English (e.g. reporting tools).
 Ability to prepare presentations (e.g. toolbox talks), as well as extensive reports (e.g. participation in incident investigation reports).

Job Title: HSE Manager - Wind Energy Project

We are seeking a committed and experienced HSE Manager to join a wind energy project team in Sweden. The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) within operative project execution and construction site management for complex technical projects. Experience in civil construction, manufacturing, plant engineering, wind energy, or related sectors is highly desirable.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Master's specialising in HSE is preferred, although relevant work experience will be prioritised.

Good understanding of construction site phases, preferably within the wind industry or similar fields.

Strong leadership skills with the authority to enforce HSE regulations on site.

Role Overview:

As Site HSE Manager, you will support the Site Manager in ensuring the effective implementation and follow-up of the HSE management system throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment at all times and have the authority to stop any activities that pose an imminent risk to personnel or turbine integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and verify HSE conditions to ensure site safety.

Conduct regular site inspections and initiate HSE discussions with personnel.

Develop and review key HSE documentation including HSE Plans, Risk Assessments, and Emergency Response Plans.

Prepare welcome packages and deliver HSE site inductions for new personnel.

Manage HSE documentation and ensure the "release to work" process is followed.

Maintain open and transparent communication with customer representatives regarding HSE matters.

Participate in Tool Box Talks and foster a positive HSE culture among the workforce.

Exercise authority to stop or prohibit unsafe work and issue warnings or temporary site access restrictions when necessary, in coordination with the Site Manager.
