We are seeking an Electrical Engineer III – Power System Study to deliver detailed engineering analysis for electrical power systems across a range of complex projects. In this role, you will assess system performance, reliability, safety, and compliance while developing practical solutions for generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial power networks. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, project stakeholders, and technical specialists to support projects from initial concept through detailed design, implementation, and commissioning.
Key responsibilities include performing load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, arc-flash, motor-starting, grounding, harmonics, protection coordination, and reliability studies. You will prepare technical reports, study models, design calculations, specifications, drawings, and recommendations, ensuring that deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The position will also involve reviewing equipment ratings, evaluating system constraints, supporting protection and control schemes, investigating power quality concerns, and providing technical input during design reviews, construction, testing, and troubleshooting activities. You may also mentor less experienced engineers and coordinate work packages, schedules, and interfaces with internal and external contributors.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline, along with substantial experience in power system analysis and engineering design. Professional registration or progress toward professional registration is preferred. Strong knowledge of industry standards and practices, including those applicable to power system studies, protection, grounding, arc flash, and electrical safety, is required. Experience with engineering and simulation tools such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PSS®E, PSCAD, or equivalent platforms is highly desirable. Successful candidates will demonstrate sound engineering judgment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly through reports, presentations, and collaborative discussions. Travel to project or client sites may occasionally be required.
