Senior Work Package Manager - Rail Sector

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Start Date: circa August 2025

Sector: Rail / Infrastructure / Engineering

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects? We're looking for a Senior Work Package Manager to oversee the coordination and delivery of major work packages within a high-profile international rail programme.

In this role, you'll be accountable for the technical, industrial, and financial execution of work packages-ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You'll guide multidisciplinary teams, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and drive performance across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and review the scope, objectives, and deliverables of each work package.Develop detailed plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with project milestones.Coordinate with internal teams and project stakeholders to maintain alignment.Monitor progress, report performance, and adapt plans as required.Identify and resolve issues, maintaining smooth delivery across the lifecycle.Coach and support team members, ensuring effective task management and collaboration.Deliver regular updates to clients, partners, and key project stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Transport, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunication).Master's degree a plus but not mandatory.20+ years of total professional experience, with at least:10 years in the rail sector5 years in a similar leadership role managing work packages or project segmentsTechnical Skills:Strong knowledge of Programme / Project Management tools and methodologies.Proficient with MS Office Suite.Familiarity with SAP ERP systems preferred.Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus.
