Job Title : SCADA Engineer (Transmission and Distribution)

Job Overview:
We are working with an international OEM to recruit a SCADA Engineer for a contract opportunity focused on Transmission & Distribution (T&D) systems in the wind industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and maintenance of SCADA systems for wind farm projects, ensuring smooth operation and real-time monitoring of T&D systems from wind turbines to the grid.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement SCADA systems for T&D infrastructure in onshore and offshore wind farms.Perform system integration testing (SIT) to ensure the SCADA system is properly integrated with electrical systems, including substations and grid connections.Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA system issues, focusing on T&D infrastructure and wind farm network performance.Monitor and optimize the performance of SCADA systems to ensure reliable data collection, reporting, and real-time system control.Work closely with project teams, OEMs, and contractors to ensure SCADA systems meet project specifications and industry standards.Develop and maintain technical documentation for SCADA systems, including configuration reports, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance plans.Provide training and support to operations and maintenance teams on SCADA systems for T&D networks.Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, safety procedures, and client specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.Proven experience working with SCADA systems in T&D or renewable energy, ideally in the wind sector.Strong knowledge of SCADA software, control systems, and data management for T&D networks.Experience with system integration testing (SIT) and troubleshooting SCADA systems in electrical infrastructure.Familiarity with both onshore and offshore wind farm systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe.Offshore certification (e.g., BOSIET, CA-EBS) for offshore roles.Valid right to work in the UK and/or Europe.
