We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of commercial projects involving drywall, acoustical systems and flooring. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing projects from pre-construction and procurement through to installation, completion and handover. You will coordinate site activities, maintain strong client relationships and ensure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work; preparing programmes, budgets, forecasts and procurement schedules; and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and other project stakeholders. You will monitor progress, productivity, labour, materials and costs, identifying risks and resolving issues before they affect delivery. The role will also involve attending design and progress meetings, preparing reports, managing variations and change orders, reviewing payment applications, and ensuring accurate project records are maintained. You will work closely with site supervisors and installation teams to confirm that drywall, suspended ceilings, acoustic treatments and flooring systems are installed in accordance with approved details, manufacturers’ guidance, building regulations and relevant health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate will have proven project management experience within commercial interiors, fit-out or specialist construction, with a strong understanding of drywall, acoustical and flooring packages. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings, specifications and programmes, and experienced in managing subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects. Strong commercial awareness, organisation and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers and colleagues at all levels. A proactive approach to problem-solving, close attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safe working practices are required. Relevant construction qualifications, project management training or industry certifications would be advantageous.
