We are seeking a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial land development projects from initial feasibility through to completion. This is an opportunity to manage complex, high-value schemes and contribute to the creation of well-planned commercial environments. You will be responsible for establishing project objectives, preparing delivery strategies and coordinating activities across the development lifecycle, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within approved budgets.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing due diligence, site appraisals, planning and development approvals, infrastructure design, procurement, construction and handover. You will appoint and manage external consultants, contractors and professional advisers, ensuring clear scopes, effective performance management and strong commercial control. The role will also involve preparing and monitoring budgets, programmes, cash-flow forecasts and risk registers, identifying issues at an early stage and implementing appropriate mitigation. You will provide regular reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders, while maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards, health and safety requirements and environmental objectives.
Applicants should have proven experience managing commercial land development or major property and infrastructure projects, ideally from feasibility through to delivery. You will bring a strong understanding of planning processes, development appraisals, construction methodologies, contract administration and project governance, together with the ability to interpret technical and commercial information. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the confidence to influence stakeholders and make sound decisions in a changing environment. A relevant qualification in project management, property, construction, engineering or a related discipline is desirable. Senior-level candidates should also demonstrate experience leading project teams, managing significant budgets and delivering multiple workstreams in a commercially focused setting.
