Our client who is a specialist electrical engineering consultancy, focused on data centres and high-voltage infrastructure projects, is looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager.
The Civil Site Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all civil construction activities on substation EPC projects, ensuring works are executed safely, to specification, and aligned with the overall project programme
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day civil construction activities on siteCoordinate subcontractors, labour, and plantSupervise earthworks, drainage, foundations, and structuresEnsure compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statementsPlan and sequence works in line with EPC programmeMaintain HSE compliance and site regulationsCoordinate with electrical and commissioning teamsMonitor progress, quality, and productivityManage permits, inspections, and quality documentationSupport commissioning and project handover
Required Qualifications and Competencies:

We are seeking an experienced Site Civil Project Manager to lead the delivery of civil construction projects from mobilisation through to completion. This role will oversee site operations, coordinate project activities, and ensure that works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain effective communication and achieve project objectives.
Key responsibilities will include preparing and monitoring construction programmes, managing site resources, reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating subcontractor activities, and tracking project progress against agreed milestones. You will identify and resolve technical, logistical, and commercial issues, maintain accurate project records, and contribute to cost control, forecasting, and change management. The role will also involve conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with approved designs and relevant standards, and implementing robust health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures. You will provide regular progress updates and support the preparation of reports, risk assessments, method statements, and project documentation.
Applicants should have proven experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects in a site-based environment, along with a relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of construction methods, surveying, temporary works, contract administration, and health and safety requirements is essential. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings, managing multidisciplinary teams, and engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, together with the ability to prioritise competing demands and make sound decisions under pressure. A proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results will be highly valued.
