BESS Project Manager - Bordeaux

We are working with a leading international energy developer seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across France.

This role will be based in Bordeaux and offers the opportunity to lead the full project lifecycle - from development and permitting through to construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage BESS projects from pre-construction through execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveryOversee engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activitiesCoordinate internal teams, external stakeholders, and subcontractorsEnsure regulatory and permitting compliance in line with French standardsMonitor project budgets, timelines, and risk management processesRepresent the company in discussions with local authorities, communities, and landowners

Candidate Profile:

Minimum 4 years of project management experience within the energy or infrastructure sectorStrong understanding of BESS technologies and grid integration requirementsProven track record of delivering complex renewable or storage projects in FranceFamiliarity with French permitting processes and regulatory frameworksFluent in FrenchEngineering or technical background preferred
