We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Land Development in Daytona Beach to support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. This role is suited to a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with project stakeholders, and contribute to projects from initial concept through construction and closeout.
Responsibilities will include assisting with project schedules, budgets, scopes, and deliverables; coordinating with civil engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, contractors, utility providers, and public agencies; and tracking project progress to identify risks, delays, and required corrective actions. You will help prepare and review development plans, permit applications, technical reports, cost estimates, bid documents, and construction information. The position will also involve attending site visits and coordination meetings, documenting action items, monitoring consultant performance, reviewing invoices and change orders, and supporting the resolution of design, permitting, and construction issues. Maintaining accurate project records and providing timely updates to internal and external stakeholders will be an essential part of the role.
Applicants should have a degree in civil engineering, construction management, urban planning, land development, or a related discipline, together with relevant experience supporting land development or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of development approvals, zoning and permitting processes, site design, grading and drainage, utilities, and construction practices is preferred. Strong organisational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management, scheduling, or design software. The successful candidate will be proactive, dependable, comfortable working collaboratively, and capable of balancing office-based coordination with occasional field responsibilities. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel locally to project sites and agency meetings may be required.
