We are looking for a Site Supervisor to join a marine construction team operating across the South East region. In this role, you will coordinate daily activities on marine and civil engineering projects, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and site crews to keep production on schedule and resolve challenges as they arise.
Your responsibilities will include planning and allocating resources, supervising personnel and subcontractors, monitoring progress and coordinating equipment, materials and logistics. You will conduct daily briefings, follow up on health and safety requirements, identify risks and ensure that agreed procedures are followed. You will also contribute to work planning, quality assurance, environmental compliance and project documentation, including reporting progress, deviations and completed activities. The role may involve working around quays, bridges, waterways, foundations, piling, dredging or other marine-related construction operations, often in changing weather and site conditions.
We are seeking someone with practical experience in construction, civil engineering, marine works or a similar operational environment. Previous experience in a supervisory or foreperson role is advantageous, as is a relevant technical qualification or equivalent professional background. You should be confident reading drawings and work instructions, coordinating several activities at once and making sound decisions in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, together with a structured and solution-oriented approach. A commitment to safety, quality and collaboration is expected. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic language is an advantage. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel or work at different project locations are also beneficial.
