We are seeking an experienced Steel Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a major construction and infrastructure project. In this role, you will lead day-to-day steelwork activities on site, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. You will coordinate supervisors, steelworkers, subcontractors, and other site personnel while maintaining clear communication with construction management and supporting disciplines.

Your responsibilities will include planning and coordinating steel erection, installation, fabrication, lifting, and associated activities; allocating labour, equipment, and materials; monitoring progress against agreed milestones; and identifying and resolving technical or logistical issues. You will conduct toolbox talks, participate in inspections, and ensure that risk assessments, method statements, permits, and safety procedures are followed. The role also involves checking workmanship, reporting deviations, supporting quality documentation, and contributing to progress meetings and daily reporting. You will be expected to promote a positive safety culture and maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation.

To succeed in this position, you should have several years of experience supervising steel construction or erection projects, preferably within large-scale industrial, energy, infrastructure, or other complex environments. You should be confident reading technical drawings, lifting plans, and method statements, and have a sound understanding of steel structures, installation methods, and relevant health and safety requirements. Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and multiple contractors. Good English communication skills are required; knowledge of an additional language is advantageous. Relevant technical qualifications, site supervision training, and experience working on megaprojects will be considered valuable assets.

You will also participate in inspections, quality control, documentation, toolbox talks, and progress meetings. A strong focus on health, safety, environmental standards, and safe working practices is essential, as is the ability to maintain clear communication in a busy, multicultural project environment.

To succeed in this position, you have several years of experience supervising steelwork, structural steel installation, or related construction activities, preferably on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects. You are confident reading technical drawings, method statements, and project documentation, and you understand the requirements involved in coordinating subcontractors and managing work fronts. Leadership experience, sound organisational skills, and a practical, solution-oriented approach are essential. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic language is an advantage. The role is site-based and may involve working shifts or extended rotations depending on project needs.
