Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Protection Engineer to support the delivery and commissioning of high-voltage protection systems for power and grid-related projects in Poland. This contract role offers flexible rotation terms and a hybrid working structure, with the potential to contribute to critical infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, test, and commission protection schemes for high-voltage (HV) substations and grid systems.
Develop and validate protection settings for relays (e.g., GE, ABB, Siemens, SEL).
Produce and interpret protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Support engineering teams through FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot protection system issues during testing and commissioning phases.
Ensure adherence to applicable standards (IEC, IEEE) and project-specific requirements.
Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the engineering process.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in protection engineering for HV networks or substations.
Proficiency in configuring and testing protection relays using relevant software (e.g., EnerVista, DIGSI, PCM600).
Strong understanding of electrical protection principles, grid codes, and standards.
Self-driven with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Fluent in English; Polish language skills are advantageous.
Willingness to travel within Poland as needed, with flexible rotation schedules available.
