Deputy Site Manager / Construction Manager - Hydropower Project (Wales, UK)
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Deputy Site Manager / Construction Manager to support site operations during the third phase of a major hydropower modernization project in Wales.
Project Overview:
Location: Wales
Scope: Modernization of Units
Workforce: Approximately 70 on-site personnel, including main subcontractors, supervisors, commissioning engineers, and administrative staff
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Site Manager with daily operational activities
Coordinate contractors, suppliers, clients, and third parties
Monitor and follow up on project schedules
Plan and manage upcoming installation tasks
Provide technical support and contribute to problem resolution during installation
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Manage material logistics and site organization
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, material usage, and deviation logs using Insite LSM
Contract Details:
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: December 2025
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 56 hours per week (10 hours per weekday, 6 hours on Saturdays)
Location: Wales
Accommodation: Provided or compensated if self-organized
Transport: Self-organized and compensated
Tools and IT equipment (laptop): Provided on site
Remuneration:
Competitive daily rate in line with UK market standards for similar positions
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Deputy Site Manager or Construction Manager on the supplier side within EPC projects of similar scope in the UK
Fluent in English
Desirable:
Experience in the hydropower sector
Background in refurbishment or modernization projects
Existing right to work in the UK
