Site Scheduler/ Project Planner - Hydropower - Australia
Location: Regional Australia (specific site TBC)
Duration: Starting Mid 2025 - Long-term (multi-year project)

A global leader in Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Site Scheduler for a long-term assignment on a major hydropower project in Australia. This position is critical to ensuring the smooth and timely execution of all site activities in alignment with the master project schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a detailed site schedule based on the master schedule.
Update the schedule weekly, incorporating civil milestones and interface dependencies.
Conduct risk and opportunity reviews alongside the FSE and Site Manager.
Monitor and communicate critical activities to ensure timely execution.
Manage buffer times and total float to prevent delays to the overall project timeline.
Coordinate installation kit availability with logistics in line with the schedule.
Work closely with the storage and supervision teams to ensure timely receipt of goods, flagging any potential issues in advance.
Operational Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with time-related contractual and internal targets.
Manage the detailed time schedule (MTS) at the site.
Plan and control supply chain dates to ensure material readiness.
Daily Tasks:
Prepare and update the detailed site schedule with Site Manager and FSE.
Gather status updates and manage schedule performance with the Site Manager.
Deliver site progress reports with quantitative activity tracking.
Identify and analyze the project's critical path.
Assist in developing recovery plans for schedule deviations.
Define milestones, activities, and dependencies; monitor commitment and escalate issues when necessary.
Oversee material planning in collaboration with the storage/supervision team.
Liaise with logistics and sourcing teams for any missing parts/materials.
Manage follow-ups for missing or lost materials (SAP/A3 notifications).
Determine optimal delivery timelines with the Master Scheduler and Site Manager.
Track and schedule material shipments according to site needs.
Requirements:
Proven experience with MS Project.
Background in EPC project environments (Hydropower experience is advantageous).
Strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote site setting.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
