Senior Networking Engineer (Site-Based - T&D Projects)
Location: Spain (2-3 months), then Poland (until year-end)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Freelance/Contract

EWI is hiring a Senior Networking Engineer for site-based deployment on high-voltage T&D infrastructure projects. You'll play a key role in designing and implementing secure communication networks for a leading OEM's Grid Solutions business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and commission secure networks across substation environments
• Install switches, routers, firewalls, and establish secure VPN/VLAN architecture
• Ensure system redundancy and compliance with cybersecurity standards
• Support integration with SCADA and protection systems
• Execute on-site troubleshooting, documentation, and handover

Requirements:

• 7+ years of industrial networking experience, ideally in T&D environments
• Prior experience working with GE or GE-related OEM networking systems
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and secure communications
• Familiar with IEC 61850 and substations communication infrastructure
• Flexible and mobile for international on-site work
