Site Manager - Hydropower Turbine Overhaul (Ireland)

Location: Ireland
Project: Overhaul of Hydro Turbine
Start Date: 22nd April 2025
Duration:

  • Phase 1: April 2025 - December 2025
  • Phase 2: February 2026 - September 2026

Working Hours: Monday - Saturday, 50-55 hours per week

Project Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a hydropower turbine overhaul project in Ireland. The project involves dismantling, factory refurbishment, reinstallation, and commissioning of the hydro turbine following machine damage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire site operation to ensure successful project execution
  • Lead a site team consisting of two supervisors and up to ten laborers
  • Maintain daily site documentation, including progress reports, deviation tracking, time sheets, material usage, and daily reports using Insite LSM
  • Coordinate material logistics and ensure smooth supply chain operations
  • Manage and liaise with contractors, clients, and third parties to ensure effective communication and execution
  • Ensure the site complies with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and meets quality requirements

Requirements:

Must-Have:

  • Proven track record as a Site Manager on EPC projects of similar scale
  • Experience managing contracts with time and material structures
  • Fluent in English

Beneficial:

  • Previous experience in the hydropower sector
  • Experience in refurbishment projects
