Job Purpose
Provides overall management direction to one or more projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with clients, and monitors construction and financial activities through administrative direction of onsite Superintendent, as well as mentoring Project Engineers.
Essential Duties
Manages critical subcontractors.
Initiates and maintains relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Creates and manages a schedule of values and pay applications.
Assists in creating and carrying out a job-specific safety plan.
Ensures a quality control plan is developed and implemented.
Manages the procurement process including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
Prepares and maintains accurate financial forecasting with an emphasis on labor, equipment, and cash flow.
Creates and manages the project schedule (cost and resource loaded as required).
Participates in all preconstruction services.
Reporting Relationships
The position reports to the Regional Leader
The position is mentored by: Senior Project Manager
The position is a mentor for: Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer
Position to work closely with Project Superintendent, Superintendent, Senior Superintendent
Level of Responsibility
Project Size: Effectively and efficiently manage the company's small to mid-size projects.
Project Team: Project Engineer, Superintendent

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Motor Vehicle report required.

Responsibilities:
Assist the project manager in managing the assigned project in regards to costs, quality, schedule and profitability
Represent Parrish in a professional manner in action, appearance & attitude
Principal Duties:
Assist project manager as needed, including but not limited to the following:
posting addendums to appropriate contract document
applying for and obtaining building, land disturbance and other required permitting for project
preparing and issuing Subcontracts & Purchase Orders and ensuring they are returned signed
preparing, updating and issuing project schedule
preparing pay request & schedule of values, and organizing and submitting pay request to the Client
evaluating and approving subcontractor/supplier pay request
creating project in Contract Manager including contact, submittal, subcontract, close out and RFI logs
conduct site visits at least weekly with Project Manager
generating, reviewing & tracking Request for Information requests from Subcontractors or company site staff
providing documentation for subcontractor meetings
requesting O&M data, attic stock, As builts, warranties and all other closeout documents
reviewing and organizing closeout for submission to Client at Substantial Completion
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements -
Minimum: Bachelors degree or one to three years related experience
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Building Construction and one to five years of experience
Language Skills -
Team Member must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents, professional journals, technical specifications and procedures
Team Member must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Mathematical Skills -
Team Member must have the ability:
to calculate figures such as those contained in pay requests and cost reporting
to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
to calculate feet and inch dimensions, such as linear footage and square footage
Reasoning Ability -
Team Member must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations Needed -
Drivers License (license in good standing with less than 6 points)
Other Skills and Abilities Needed -
Ability to proficiently operate a computer and work with specific computer software such as: Contract Manager, Primavera P6 Scheduler, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
Familiarity with construction terminology, such as: Materials, Methods, and Divisions of Work
Fluency in the English language, both verbal and written

About The Role
My client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support and lead critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant construction projects for both municipal and industrial clients (including advanced technology sector clients) based out of Austin, TX.
Projects may be either integrated project delivery such as CM-at-Risk or Design-Build, or traditional Design-Bid-Build.
Essential Functions
Plan, organize and staff key field positions or subordinate project managers. Coordinate staffing with US Operations and other Area department heads.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts, to facilitate preconstruction and construction activities.
Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site construction managers and superintendents to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Represent Company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect companys interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
Work jointly with other members of the project team to complete the MWH Constructors Management Administration Plan prior to initiating any fieldwork. Use the planning guidelines and tools provided throughout the project.
Assure that direct reporting employees follow safe work practices and use company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
Provide leadership and technical support to project engineers, field engineers and superintendents.
Procurement of subcontractors and materials thru Purchase Agreements and Subcontracts.
Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, revenue and Cost Forecasting and Scheduling.
Assume additional responsibilities as directed by Regional Director.
Basic Qualifications
4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience and training/education.
Minimum of 8-15 years of construction, design, finance and management experience/knowledge required on heavy civil or industrial construction projects.
3 - 5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects.
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital.
Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
Strong business-orientation required. Proven experience and judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
Safety oriented, OSHA training.
Special experience and expertise with water/wastewater and/or advanced technology treatment projects.
