Position Overview

EWI are supporting one of the most well-established, mid-sized employee-owned consulting companies in California to identify a Senior Environmental CEQA/NEPA Planner & Senior Project Manager to join their Northern California team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex mid-large scale projects, including infrastructure, energy, residential, commercial, and industrial developments, as well as policy evaluation and mitigation planning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track-record working in Environmental Consulting and demonstrated technical expertise in environmental impact assessment and project management. This role involves leading CEQA/NEPA document preparation, coordinating environmental compliance efforts, mentoring junior staff and collaborating with public and private clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee CEQA/NEPA documentation for medium to large-scale projects.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, project requirements, and quality standards.Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget to maintain alignment with client expectations.Participate in stakeholder meetings, public hearings, and outreach initiatives.Provide strategic guidance on land use planning, environmental compliance, and project execution.Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts.Collaborate with project teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental sciences, urban planning, geography, or a related field.At least 7 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, with a focus on CEQA/NEPA compliance (10-15+ preferred)Proven ability to manage project budgets, contracts, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Ability to travel within the region as needed (valid driver's license required).

Compensation & Benefits:
