The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are looking for a Technical Office' Quantity Surveyor (BIM Coordinator)to join a global leader in construction sector for one of Norway's technical infrastructure projects involving roads, tunnels, bridges, drill and blast works.

This is a great opportunity to work for a significant construction company, working alongside some of the most experienced specialists in the industry to continue developing and further you career.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineer or Architect to join our client team and contribute to our design reviews and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) works. The resource will play a key role in utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to analyze and manage BOQ data for the Project. This position requires a strong understanding of BIM software, construction methodologies, and BoQ processes.

Job Role / Responsibilities

To ensure effective BIM development, aimed at facilitating successful Bill of Quantities works. It's crucial to host workshops involving the project stakeholders to showcase and verify software utility and workflows.BIM Implementation along the entire project. Assist in the development and implementation of standardized BoQ workflows and processes.Collaborate closely with Design Teams to ensure precise representation and information level of project elements in BIM models.In the Design Review processes: Analyze BIM models to identify and quantify building components and materials for inclusion in BoQs.In the Design Review processes: Utilize BIM software tools to extract quantities data from digital 3D models and 2D drawings.In the Design Review processes: Coordinate with the Design Managers, Engineers, to address any discrepancies or changes in quantities data.Generate and maintain detailed BoQ reports and documentation.Involved in the Value Engineering analysysInvolved in the Project Budget revision

The infrastructure project is based on the West Coast of Norway and consist of the construction of several tunnels, bridges and highways, the construction has already started and is estimated to last for at least 2 more years.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, standards and technical specifications.

- Familiarity with quantity surveying principles and BoQ processes.

- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and/or equivalent platforms.

- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

- Proven experience and knowledge in utilizing Norwegian Standards and Processkode is preferred.

- Proven experience as a BIM Operator or similar role in a construction or architectural firm is preferred.

- Certification in BIM technology or related field is a plus.

Coordinator of construction, Engineering, permit and procurement schedule Prepare a programme of work, critical paths and target milestones based on the schedule, Monitor the milestones with the production of the work on site.Develop, in coordination with the Project Construction Manager, the schedule of civil works for the project, based on the project duration time.Advise the Procurement, Manager(s) to coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that delivery schedules are met.Participate in internal project meetings with Project Managers, staff and subcontractors, raising weaknesses and delays in the schedule.Ensure that the project has a schedule that meets the proposed requirements, and accurately reflects the current status and future intent of all project activities to ensure a planned and orderly completion.Providing advice and assistance to the Manager(s) and other staff as required to meet programme requirements.Coordinate and provide solutions to the Project Director/Manager in relation to planning and schedule control.
