About the Role:
EWI is seeking an experienced Commissioning Technician with HV (High Voltage) training and prior experience in Major Component Exchange (MCU) commissioning on-site. This role involves critical electrical commissioning tasks, ensuring safe and efficient operation of turbines and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical LOTO Application: Apply electrical Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and prepare turbines for commissioning.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues during MCU operations to maintain optimal performance.Commissioning & LOTO Removal: Oversee the commissioning process and safely remove LOTO after the MCU operations are completed.Required Qualifications & Skills:
HV Training with proven experience in commissioning, specifically in turbine and MCU operations.Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols related to high voltage operations.Experience with Major Component Exchange projects.Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety and performance standards.Benefits:

Role Summary
Supporting all service activities on site during Major Component Exchange
Wind turbine service technicians specialize in the operation and maintenance of wind turbines so they can be used to produce wind-powered electricity. Their work involves installing new turbines and performing routine maintenance to ensure the wind turbines are working correctly. These technicians also respond when a wind turbine isn't working properly and are responsible for performing repairs once they determine the cause of the problem
Essential responsibilities:
Apply electrical LOTO and preparation of the TurbineTroubleshoot or repair mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions related to variable pitch systems, variable speed control systems, converter systems, or related components.Commissioning and removal of electrical LOTO after MCUDiagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems.Start or restart wind turbine generator systems to ensure proper operations.Test electrical components of wind systems with devices such as voltage testers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, infrared testers, or fiber optic equipment.Test structures, controls, or mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems, according to test plans or in coordination with engineers.Assist in assembly of individual wind generators or construction of wind farms.Collect turbine data for testing or research and analysis.Qualifications/ Requirements:
Fluent in EnglishTechnical high school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years onshore wind farm experience required in Major OperationsLeadership and computer skillsFlexibility in working hoursPositive attitude and approach to day to day dutiesDemonstrated initiative to increase efficiency in operationsDriver's licence requiredA strong commitment to ensure safety and safe working environmentsMust be HV Trained

Collaborate closely with the Construction Manager on contractor coordination, planning, and execution.

Qualifications & Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of turbine transportation, erection, and assembly procedures.
Proven experience in WTG installation, with relevant qualifications.
A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in turbine transport, erection, and assembly, with a proven track record in managing complex projects.
Experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
A strong commitment to health and safety leadership, with a proven ability to drive safety performance.
Exceptional organisational, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

As a Civil Construction Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing subcontractors, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality, and design requirements. Reporting directly to the Site Manager and BOP Manager, you will co-ordinate on-site activities, enforce building regulations, and maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor project schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines.
Enforce health and safety regulations and conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards.
Implement and oversee the Quality Control Plan (QCP), ensuring adherence to design and quality standards.
Verify foundation assembly and construction processes according to approved plans and permits.
Act as a technical advisor, applying quality procedures and managing stop points as required.
Maintain comprehensive records of progress and quality control measures.
Identify and resolve construction issues promptly and effectively.
Communicate proactively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to align project expectations.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
