Recruiting on behalf of a leading international energy developer

Are you ready to lead the delivery of one of Guinea's most significant infrastructure projects? We are seeking an experienced Country Manager to oversee the construction and execution of a major hydropower project in Guinea. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong background in project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and infrastructure development in emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:Lead all in-country operations related to the hydropower project, from construction through to commissioning.Serve as the primary liaison between the project company, government authorities, contractors, and local stakeholders.Oversee compliance with local regulations, environmental and social standards, and international best practices.Manage local teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.Represent the project in high-level meetings with ministries, regulators, and community leaders.Ensure alignment with corporate ESG goals and community engagement strategies.Ideal Candidate Profile:Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.Strong understanding of hydropower construction, EPC contracts, and project finance frameworks.Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Background in engineering, project management, or related field; advanced degree preferred. About the Role
Our client, a leading international renewable energy developer, is delivering a flagship hydropower project in Malawi. They are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to lead contractual and commercial oversight throughout the project lifecycle-from contractor procurement through to execution and completion.

This role will play a critical part not only in construction-phase contract management but also in the tendering, evaluation, and negotiation of the EPC contractor.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of contract administration, from tender stage to project close-out

Support and advise during the tendering, technical evaluation, and commercial negotiation phases of contractor selection

Ensure contract execution aligns with technical and commercial expectations

Administer FIDIC-based contracts, ensuring compliance and performance

Identify, assess, and manage variations, claims, and disputes

Liaise closely with legal, engineering, and project management teams

Prepare contractual reports and participate in regular progress meetings

Proactively identify and mitigate risks across the project lifecycle

Candidate Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or related discipline

Minimum 8 years' contract management experience within energy or infrastructure projects

Demonstrable experience with FIDIC contract forms, particularly Yellow and Silver Book

Experience in EPC procurement, including contractor tendering, evaluation, and negotiation

Previous involvement in large-scale hydropower or renewable energy projects

Excellent commercial, legal, and stakeholder management capabilities

Prior experience in East Africa or comparable emerging markets is an advantage

Fluent in English (French an asset)

Drive the Future of Renewable Energy!


Our client, a leading player in the hydropower and renewable energy sector, is looking for an experienced Site Scheduler to join a major hydropower project in Angola.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the region's landmark renewable energy projects and contribute to the global decarbonization movement.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain a detailed site erection schedule (electrical and mechanical scope) using MS Project/Primavera.

Coordinate all stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet internal targets and contractual milestones.

Update and synchronize the Field Service Schedule with the Master Time Schedule and site management systems.

Track progress, identify deviations, and propose mitigation or recovery plans.

Provide visibility on critical paths and interfaces.

Review and assess subcontractor progress reports.

Support the site team with look-ahead planning and promote a strong scheduling mindset.

Partner closely with Site Supervisors, Site Manager, and Master Scheduler.

Participate in planning meetings and prepare schedule variants to support decision-making.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field.

Project Management qualification (MBA, P.Eng., or similar) is a plus.

Solid experience in planning and scheduling for large hydropower or construction projects.

Proficient in MS Project and Primavera.

Strong HSE and Quality focus.

Knowledge of hydro-power equipment installation and commissioning (preferred).

Strong contractual understanding and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English; other languages are a bonus.

Team player with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
